Particle Combinations

Korean particles can be combined to express complex relationships:

• 에서부터 (from a location)

  • 학교에서부터 집까지 걸었어요 (I walked from school to home)

• 까지 (until, to)

  • 서울까지 가요 (I go to Seoul)

  • 3시까지 기다려요 (I wait until 3 o'clock)

• 에게/한테 (to used with people)

  • 선생님에게 물어봤어요 (I asked the teacher)

  • 친구한테 선물을 줬어요 (I gave a gift to my friend)
