Common Mistakes

1. Subject vs. Topic particle:

   • Use 이/가 when introducing new information

   • Use 은/는 when contrasting or highlighting information

2. Particles cannot be omitted in written Korean, but in spoken Korean, they are occasionally dropped

3. Double particles are common:

   • 친구에게만 말했어요 (I told only to my friend)

   • 학교에서는 한국어를 배워요 (At school, I learn Korean)
