Instrumental Particles: 로/으로

These particles indicate the means or instrument used to do something.

• Use 로 after words ending in a vowel or ㄹ

• Use 으로 after words ending in other consonants

Examples:

• 버스로 가요 (I go by bus)

• 연필로 써요 (I write with a pencil)

• 한국어로 말해요 (I speak in Korean)

• 손으로 먹어요 (I eat with my hands)
